There’s a saying that I love:

“Don’t try and give the world what you think it needs, do what makes you come alive, the world NEEDS more of those people.”

I really take that to heart and I hope that you will too…

When you passionately pursue your dream, you create a unique road to travel on that is full of surprises and amazing experiences and people.

See, it doesn’t even matter what you are passionate about; it could be art, writing, selling your products or services…When you radiate passion, people of all walks of life are drawn to YOU, even if they aren’t totally interested in what you are offering. They become emotionally involved in you and the story you can tell them about whatever it is that you are offering.

So, for those of you that don’t absolutely love what you are doing, selling, etc, you need to move on to something that makes you come alive. I’m not saying quit your job, what I’m saying is that you need to start something after-hours that really makes you tick.

If you are already on the road of doing what you are passionate about, congratulations. Success is much more attracted to people who love what they do and so are the customers that buy their products and services.

People who are “ALIVE” cannot be ignored. It’s only a matter of time before more and more people start to notice you and connect with you and your story.

Watch the video below and I will expand on this a little more…

that is SO funny…that is one of my very favorite quotes! i hadn’t looked at it on my FB page in a long time, except for like an hour ago and then here it is again…a message from the Universe i think!!! it really is so true…and it’s a great reminder! thanks!

  2. Love this! It speaks to my favorite quote that I am trying to live by. I say trying because my nature is to be “pleasing” as many women are and I have to remind myself to stay true to my needs first. If you see anybody who is successful and inspiring you see someone who knows who they are and are living to that truth.

Yes Monica…we have to serve others without a doubt…I also believe that we must have our personal foundation solid as a rock to be the most effective when serving others. That’s why constantly acting on and pursuing your passion will help you to better connect with people (which in turn will allow you to “please” them)…I like your selfless style though;). That’s seems to be a pretty rare trait these days :-)

Nick very very good advice. There is an added pitfall when you give the world what you think it needs while ignoring what makes you come alive. You attract the wrong people. You feel empty.

Even in my blog writing, for a long time i was writing in this corporate voice that really didn’t make me come alive because i thought that this is what I was supposed to do. Then one day i realized I was attracting the wrong type of reader and customer. When i changed my writing style to more “ME”, i repelled a bunch of people but i’ve attracted more people who get what I’m about because i’m speaking to them. And my traffic doubled. by just being me.. I’m still easing into being me in my writing style, cause i don’t want to freak anyone out.

Yeah Annie…I’m glad that you went out on a limb and now do what you do best – (being you). Now you have readers that love you and care about everything you say because you are being your authentic self. People can sense that even through written text…Congrats on all of your success of your blog. I checked it out, bookmarked, and subscribed to email list. I would love to break my fears and travel around the world. :-) Cheers..
